WORKSHOPS & EVENTS

Make Your Own Terrarium Workshop: Nutfield

Join Renée for a festive afternoon of music, mulled wine and mince pies and bring some botanical charm to your (or someone else’s) home !

Terrariums were first created in the Victorian era, came back into fashion in the 70s and have now returned as we seek to green up our homes. In essence they are a garden in a sealed glass container.   The sealed container makes a micro-climate which means these little green oasis are really easy to look after and make a brilliant Christmas gift!  I’ll provide all the materials and plants for you to make your very own Kilner Jar Terrarium to take home.

The workshop will take place in the picturesque location of Priory Farm Estate held indoors within the Lambing Barn.  Renée is sharing the space with Lorraine from Hedges & Hurdles.  Lorraine will be running a  Willow Heart Workshop and a Willow Angel Workshop in the Lambing Barn.  Suitable for absolute beginners.  Workshops are for adults but young makers (Aged 10+) can join when accompanied by an adult (18+)

Date: 17th November 2.30 – 4PM           Location: The Lambing Barn, Priory Farm Estate, Nutfield

Cost: £35                                                 BOOK HERE

Winter Woodland Wreath Workshop: Newdigate, Surrey

The Winter Equinox is a time for reflection of the passing of seasons.   Join me at the cosy Surrey Art School in Newdigate to make a Woodland Wreath to cheer us through the dark nights and cold days.

… make your garden bloom all year round or your very own botanical creation.

I’m a Gardener and Designer who loves being creative and encouraging other people to enjoy plants and flowers, either by using them creatively in their gardens or by using them indoors to create beautiful posies, wreaths or arrangements.  I save seedheads and prunings, press flowers, forage hedgerows, fill vases indoors and out and collect nuts and leaves, I think it’s the scavenger in me, or just the little girl that collected interesting things from the garden, wood or beach!

I run public workshops or you can book me for a private event.  I focus on sharing gardening techniques and more creative workshops for small groups, hen parties and children’s parties. Topics include:

  • Easy design tricks to give your garden the wow factor
  • Creating seasonal pots and containers
  • Making Summer flowering hanging baskets
  • Autumn and Christmas wreaths
  • Fantastic flower crowns
  • Build a Terrarium

Just had my hoedown. I was feeling completely overwhelmed by my garden. I now feel excited to get out there and put into place all the wonderful ideas Renée gave me … would recommend Renée to everyone!

We started with a Hoedown and were so impressed and blown away by Renée’s knowledge, passion and ideas, that we booked her garden design and planting services.

I had a lovely session with Renée discussing our garden. It was a great opportunity to get advice on how to look after favourite plants and she had so many planting ideas for those problem areas.

Absolutely wonderful, full of amazing ideas, gives great advice. Allowed me to see my garden in a different way.

My garden makes me smile now . . . everyday it makes me smile

Renée has created a space that feels bigger than before and I just love to sit and look at it!
